James Langley - President

As President of Career Connect, I am proud to lead an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for youth and underserved communities through the power of sports, job training, and employment opportunities. Our mission is grounded in the belief that every individual, regardless of background, deserves the chance to realize their potential and build a future of economic independence and personal fulfillment. As a veteran of the United States Army, I learned firsthand the importance of leadership, perseverance, and community service—principles that continue to guide me in my work.

At Career Connect, we understand that empowerment comes in many forms, and we have made it our goal to combine sports and professional development to build essential life skills, foster confidence, and open doors to meaningful careers. We believe in a holistic approach that not only prepares individuals for success in the workplace but also nurtures their growth as leaders in their communities.

Having had the privilege of playing professional volleyball, and also a
2nd Dan black belt holder in Shotokan Karate, I understand the value of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These experiences have shaped my belief in the transformative power of sports in building character and preparing individuals for success in all areas of life.

Our vision is a world where sports serve as a bridge to personal and professional development, where youth have the resources and support they need to unlock their full potential.
